I use the Freeview NZ DVB EPG and am getting the occassional blanks in the my schedules.

Is there a way I can manually fix the database so that I don't miss out on my regular recordings?

You could schedule manual recordings to cover the timeslots you're interested in, then use an SQLite administration tool to edit episode information by hand. (There are a few free ones but I paid for a SQLite Maestro license for its graphical query composer.)

You can also use the MpegImport utility to insert recording information into the DB automatically (based on filename).

You can really screw things up badly if you mess up the DB so please be very careful and MAKE BACKUPS of gbpvr.db3 before any manual edits.

Thanks. Do I just copy the db3 and mdb files to do a backup or is there a backup/restore function somewhere in the config that I haven't been able to find?

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner; my participation is in fits and starts.

You can backup the db3 or mdb files by copying them to a safe place, then if things get screwed up you can just copy them back to the original location.
