Well gotta say, a little disappointed in the MSN Scraper.

The XML is a mess. It would be nice to a have a Carriage Return once in a while.

The Channel Names are the Channel Numbers. That's not a lot of help. Other programs will take it the other way and not use Channel numbers and only Names (Call Signs). A person needs both in the XML. A users can then do with it what they want.

And the fact that there are no details along with the show. Yeah, you could download the details for the first 26 hours , but what if you want to know if you want to schedule something a week in advance...

I know that this program is limited to what msn offers. It's good that it's free and not dependent on a specific Operating System.

The user interface was straight forward.

As with all the Downloaders and Scrapers, an easy but detailed explanation of how to get the xml INTO GB-PVR is missing. (I'm working on that wiki page right now)

If IE or FF is associated with .xml files, you can double-click on the output and they will load it - tabbed and formatted nicely.

This was done to speed things up and try to prevent unnecessary load on the servers. If you want, you can easily change the detail duration in the source.

That said, it is only a stopgap solution till a decent yahoo API converter comes along. Someone should take up _OZ_'s code and run with it.

I've been trying to find out what happened with OZ. He writes in VB6 too. We've worked together once...

That said, I can't work on the Yahoo API until a Canadian version comes out...

Once all my projects are finalized, I may work on Oz's grabber if he's not done anything with it by then.

Yahoo Go appears to be nearly abandonware so I doubt it. Besides as I said before because Rogers (a dominant cable co. here in Canada) and Yahoo! being so linked I doubt it will be one of our "free" services.
