Is anyone using the ATI Remote Wonder with GB-PVR?

Does anyone have an ATI plug-in created for this remote? I tried to get the Girder Plug-in to work but GB-PVR would not respond. I could see that the remote signals were getting to Girder.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Mike

I'm using the X10 RF remote which is almost identical hardware.

I'm using the Girder ATI/X10 plugin, it it works great.

I have my girder events sent to whatever the foreground window is. That way, I can start notepad and bring it to the foreground, press buttons on the remote, and verify the keystrokes are sent onto notepad. If it sends keys to notepad, it will send keys to GBPVR. Previously I targetted the events to GBPVR, but decided this isn't really necessary and it made testnig more difficult.

I have the power button on the remote starting and stopping GBPVR, mute, vol+, vol-, up, down, left, right, 0-9, enter, stop, blue, yellow, green, ff, rew, <skip and skip> all running fine through girder with this setup.

Try testing against notepad, but if you are having no luck, send me your gml file and I'll take a look.

Cheers,

Hi Mcragoe,

I use GB-PVR and Meedio, I use the ATI RW and girder to control both. As I use the PVR 350 TV out, I have 2 AV channels into my telly from the PC. So what I do is disable enable command groups for different programs in Girder, depending on pressing the TV button or the DVD button. (Im working on getting the USB-UIRT to switch the TV AV channels automatically).
If you want a copy of my GML file, PM me.

Cheers.

Nice work!

So you don't need girder at all then?

mcragoe could you please re-post the link to your setup? It has broken, and I would love to see how you did it.......thanks!

Also if it's not addressed in your page......is there a way to specify that ALL remote wonder presses should go to GBPVR, regardless of what application is "active"? I would like to use GBPVR on my secondary (TV) screen while using my primary (monitor) screen as a regular PC.

I think this is what you are looking for.

I do not remember if GBPVR needs to have focus for this to work. (Sorry) Give it a try!

Awesome got it all working, but it does need to have focus.....it looks like you could make it work without focus if you wrote a custom plugin.......sub any possibility of this? If I wrote it? Smile
