I cannot get this software to work. I have done the tuning assistant and been through the config. When i try to set up a capture source it will not let met set up the epg or save my settings.

The steps which you say are not working are not in fact related to your capture card, could you please outline exactly what you are doing so that we have a better chance of helping.

You do not need a capture card in order to set it up;

I have the software working now. I cannot view the tv on my pc though. Where do i download the XML/EPG files that contain uk tv listings and logos?

xmltv can be downloaded at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmltv, it is fairly simple to set up.
