No Audio on Some Channels - AC3?

There is no audio on a couple of my dvb-s channels when using the MediaMVP. I am guessing this might be because they are AC3? If so, is there any way to get the audio working for AC3 channels?

The mvpmc dongle supports AC3 out, typically it is out of sync, although I watched "We are Marshall" in perfect sync from a QAM source over the weekend.

OK I guess I could have been more specific. I am only using RCA stereo audio out to my tv from the mediamvp. My mvp does not even have any kind of SPDIF/AC3 audio out nor does my tv have an input for it anyway.

The specific channels which have no audio using mvp do seem to work fine using my htpc (the audio works fine). I guess I'll have to do some more troubleshooting.

I guess my question is can anyone confirm the medimvp can play an AC3 channel using the RCA stereo out?

Confirmed. AC3 is downmixed to stereo by default with mvpmc through both the analog and digital ports. Raw AC3 out is only available through the digital port using mvpmc's passtrough mode.

I'm going to bump this to see if anyone knows of livetv alternatives to mvpmc. Can something like AC3filter be added to the audio feed and mixed with the Cyberlink (or alternative) BDA mux of the SD video to get good stream to the mvp?

There is nothing built in that could downmix the AC3 to stereo during recording.

The Cyberlink mux should record AC3 streams into a .mpg file during recording, which can be used with mvpmc.

Thanks for the info and the AC3 is mixed in fine with the Cyberlink mux, I just have to spend some more time getting it to play correctly.
