Can you try scheduling both recordings in the one PVRX2.exe.log? I'd like to see them both scheduled in the logs.

Also, pick clear block of time for these two recordings rather than deleting an existing recording to reschedule it.

Quote:I noticed a log.zip file in my recycled bin. I assume that's what happens when you enable log flushing.
No, that log.zip file would have been something you created manually in the past and deleted. Log flushing simply tells that app to make sure every log message is written to disk - otherwise I can end up with a half log, which doesnt contain the specific thing I'm looking for.

I can't reproduce the problem now just using TV guide to record both shows. I tried both single recording and season recording but the program noticed the conflict every time. I am now speculating that the problem must have occurred because I mixed my recording sources; sometimes from the TV Guide, sometimes from TV listings and sometimes from SearchWiz2, most likely because two recurring programs scheduled in different manners failed to recognize each other.
I will try to reproduce the problem tomorrow using a combination of sources. However, the short term solution seems to be to stick to one manner of recording.

Thank you and I will keep you posted if I am able to discover how I created this anomaly.

Yeah, this is why I was pushing you to produce the logs showing the whole event via the tv guide. I suspect something else has created one invalid recording, which isnt enough to cause GB-PVR to think it is an invalid recording.

I dont think its a matter of sticking to one source for scheduling recordings, but rather avoiding whatever caused the creation of an invalid recording.

I had another occurrence of two pending recordings at the same time with just one tuner and no conflict. I have attached the logs but I suspect they won't show anything as both recordings were scheduled as part of recurring recordings (likely originally set up through searchwiz2 but possibly from the build in search feature).
The two shows that were scheduled to be recorded were:
Moonlight Friday October 17, 2007 9:00-10:00p.m (channel 7)
Women's Murder Club October 17, 2007 9:00-10:00 p.m. (channel 18)
While the TV guide in GBPVR and the pending recordings showed both shows scheduled for recording, there were no conflicts. What is interesting is that it was Women's Murder Club that has a lower priority in the recurring schedule than Moonlight that was actually recorded and the recurring schedule shows Moonlight as a 1 hour show that occurs each week sometime between 7:30 & 10.

On a possibly related note, I experienced the classic timestamp issue (as described on WIKI) on two occasions and most recently last night so I followed the instructions on WIKI and updated the Hauppauge drivers to version hauppauge_cd_3.4d1.zip Version: 3.4D1 (Sept 17, 2007) and the classic timestamp problem with comskip and shows displaying a length of only 2 minutes seems to be resolved. Because that problem was sporadic, I thought I would wait a week or two before modifying the wiki to confirm that this version fixes that problem as well as the beta version that is no longer on the Hauppauge site. However, I am wondering if my multiple recordings at the same time without conflict could also be a symptom of the timestamp issue.

Please note that I don't have an immediate problem (and possibly no problem at all). This post is just intended to add information in case it happens to anyone else.

I was able to reproduce the error with TV guide and recurring recordings. See screenshots.
Last nigtht, I set up a recurring recording for mastepiece theatre on sundays from 9-10 pm. I then deleted this week's mastepiece theatre (only) on the basis that it was a rerun and I had already seen it. I then recorded CSI as a recurring recording for the same time slot. As expected, I had conflicts for next Sunday (the week in which I which I had not cancelle masterpiece theatre). I resolved those conflicts by cancelling the CSI. Then my EPG was updated. This morning, I still have no conflicts but I have two shows recorded for the same time slot which is obvious from both a review of the shows pending and from a view of the TV Guide which shows both shows scheduled for taping.

For me, this is not an urgent problem as the obvious solution is to remember that deleting one episode of a recurring scheduling willl be reversed once the EPG is updated.

p.s. on a slightly different tangent, what is the ideal size in pixels for a screenshot? These ones look too big to me.
