cancel recurring??

there are 3 shows that were listed in scheduler and have been cancelled.
they no longer show up in the list.
they are still being set to record.

how can I stop them??

Make sure you didn't accidently add them using the regular recording options. The Scheduler option only deletes them from the PriorityRecording.xml file, if you set them up at one time with GBPVRs built in scheduler you will still get them occuring.

when I deleted it I checked the regular place (have a few shows in there too)

I have not yet checked the xml file to see if they are still listed but not showing on the list though.

One thing to note, just because you deleted them from the Scheduler, doesn't mean that any pending recordings that had been scheduled will be deleted as well. This is because when the Scheduler (CDK) schedules a recording it actually puts it in as a one time recording. You can go into pending and delete any of those recordings that are still pending, and that should clear them all out.
