Just started getting this error. Don't think I've changed anything but I can't track down the problem. Happens on both local/remote browser session and nothing in the GBPVR logs (can't find any EWA logs - are there any?)

I'm running on 1.1.5 on Vista 32 (vista firewall) and have tried EWA 67 and reinstalling GB-PVR over the top. I've no plugins loaded and, if it matters, I've checked that GBPVRPublic.dll is in the web\bin directory.

Any ideas please?

Are you running through th GBPVR web server or are you trying to host via IIS on Vista?

The problem apppears to be that in your web\bin directory you are missing the gbpvrpublic.dll file.

If you unstalled EWA build 67 and then reloaded gbpvr over then you will be back to EWA build 66 since that is what ships with the latest GBPVR.

Thanks for reply.
  • I am using the default GBPVR web server.
  • GBPVRPublic.dll is in my web\bin directory.
  • I had the base 1.1.5 system imaged first and have tried a number of combinations of EWA 66 & 67 along with reinstalls of 1.1.5. I was initially running 66 and only tried 67 temporarily to see if it fixed the problem before going back to the 66 image.
I can't think of anything relevant I have changed, it might just be I guess that my system is screwed up! Everything had worked fine with GBPVR web interface until very recently. I suppose I was hoping that the error might point to something specific but it seems not.

There are logs from ewa.....but they get written by using the API which is in the gbpvrpublic.dll......if you have any they will be in one of the subdirectories in this path.....look for the subdirectory that contains the gbpvrpublic.dll file and then there should be a subdirectory under that called logs.....

Code:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr\4d107d39\801bf7b5\assembly\dl3

Another idea perhaps is that the .Net Framework 2.x may be hosed....you could try reinstalling it.

Thanks, got there in the end thanks to your pointers. I deleted this .net temp directory for GB-PVR and it is all working again.

Thanks,

Updated to 1.2.13 a few days ago and ended up with the same problem running on XP32. Deleted the gbpvr folder under C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files

Excellent support, thanks again!
