Ok,
So Santa was nice to me this year, and I got a 40" Samsung LCD. (LA40R81BX)
Now I got a DVI to HDMI cable and connected the TV up to my PVR. This worked fine until I tried to go to the native res of the screen (1360x768) - then I just got "mode not supported"
I can use the same res in VGA. I was trying to keep the signal all digital from PC to TV instead of converting back & forth.
Is the limitation on the set likely to be HDCP getting in the way?
Is there any actual reason to go to the HDMI route, or is there no real difference between that & VGA?
Cheers
