Can some help me out by posting what your graph looks like when working with nvidia purevideo. I installed it, it worked great (reduced my CPU usage for some reason by like 10-15% even though I have an old AGP ATI card) but when I reboot it put everything back to cybervideo.

I tried building a graph, but when I try to connect from the purevideo decoder to the VMR video renderer it says 'no way dude.' Purevideo is putting out UYVY and the video renderer is probably expecting something else.

The original file is a .dvr-ms file but I'll take a .ts graph as well if anyone has it since I'm still comparing the two. Alternatively, I could take a suggestion as to what to put between the purevideo output and the VMR input to make this work.

Thanks

I could give you a graph with SD MPEG2 if that would help. I don't have any .dvr-ms or .ts to play with. Purevideo "just worked" for me (on plain old SD).

Thanks, but I'm about to give up on this. Next time I'll just a get a computer with more horsepower and not worry about shaving off a few CPU cycles here and there to play the only 3 channels in HD that I get over QAM.

It seems to be working as-is right now. However, in pvrx2, I'm pretty sure that dvr-ms playback is NOT using purevideo. I can't even check because the graphedit remote graph isn't working (yes I did use the regedit.) It gives me a weird name on the connect to graph section, I click to connect to it, but get nothing. And after messing around with it for a while last night, purevideo started miraculously showing up on all the graphs last night. I think once I ran a successful graph and accessed purevideo, it fixed itself . It now will work in that configuration where it had previously refused to work. I really give up.

So far I'm not getting too much studder or anything so I'm just probably gonna not care what it's doing since it's working. I thought purevideo was helping out in the CPU dept but as it turns out it's the same or worse. However, I'm gonna leave it because the color quality seems a little better. Thanks for the support.

After playing a file you'll find lastgraph.grf in your gbpvr directory. You can open it with graphedit and see what graph gbpvr or pvrx2 used.

Thanks, this would be beneficial. At least I'll know what it's doing.
