Hi!

I just gave this a try and it was really simple to set up 2 pass encoding...
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/Post3

so I would like to test it but require a couple things....

how can I specify the output to a lower framerate say 24?

I also wish to move the finished movies to a directory called
c:\movies

my record directory is c:\record

is there a way to delete the original once it has finished and have PVRX2 point to the new file with descriptions right after encoding is done?

is mencoder using xvid or divx?
is there a way to get mencoder to use the latest divx 6.0 codec with multi cpu support?
http://labs.divx.com/node/4904
cheers!

hey can cpu priority to be lowered? and is there a way to auto start the que when a recording is done even on dual tuner recordings?

I apologize for all the questions

The samples that are on that wiki page are compiled and tweaked from many other sources. They use intermediate Batch file syntax.

The settings for mencoder (if you're using two pass then you must be using mencoder) are all configurable using the syntax choices from the Mencoder documentation available from http://www.mplayerhq.hu

Moving, deleting, copying files are pretty basic Batch file commands, and the batch file includes several examples. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out.

Changing the cpu priority is done with a program, part of XP/Vista called start.exe Info for using start is able on the net too...

don't know how to force different codecs. I think it's possible but it's not something I've been interested in exploring.

you could place the command to start processing the queue in the postprocessing.bat if you want it to start directly after a recording, but then that defeats the purpose of deferred transcoding...

Good luck

I've never implemented postprocessing. I just haven't found I could trust ComSkip enough. (Still using analog. Is it easier with digital?)
