Hi guys,

This is a strange one and it may well be something I am doing in GameZone hence why I asking for advise in this forum and not the normal support forum.

Problem:
When I am playing gamezone (emulator is running) and a scheduled recording starts off, the recorded video upon playback is very fast I would guess three times or higher than normal speed, it has both audio and video and both are fast.

============================
I never had this problem with Gamezone 1.x versions!

I will be doing some testing today, things on my list of items to test are:
  • Take Debug off GBPVR
  • Run emulator without Gamezone but with GBPVR running
  • Run Gamezone 1.x version of gamezone (if possible never tried regressing

Any things I should try? if I get it down to GameZone2 being the culprit can anyone think what may cause the issue?

Wish me luck!

I guess something about high CPU usage could cause this. If this is the case, I dont really have any suggestions other than maybe increasing the recording service priority - even that might not help though.

I thought about the CPU utillisation so I will monitor it, with hardware encoding on the PVR150 I was assuming it wount need much of the main CPU cycles to perform. Thanks for the suggestion.

It doesnt need much CPU, but it may need the CPU to respond to interrupts quicker than your CPU is when its running some emulator.

As usual sub, you are correct, CPU is the issue.

I have tweaked some settings on winvnc which I noticed was taking too much cpu time, also changed the emulators dithering settings as they were using CPU to assist with reducing the cpu load.

By far the best change occurred when setting the system performance to background services and not applications

I couldnt find a simply way to just increase the priority of the recording service as it seems this is normally done via the way you call it by offering a priority level and that I though is not accessible to users of GBPVR?

Thanks for your assistance. the grandchildren can once again have the wiggles recorded Big Grin
Even if someone has left the emulator game running all night!

Cheers
