Png support was primarily for video, I am hoping that Syabas will provide me a mechanism to overlay a semi-transparent file on top of a video. I would expect this would be very easy. However I think png is also less demanding then jpg to process so it might load faster which is why I wanted to compare them.
If you can build this either in I will let you know how it goes.
