I just followed all the steps in the wiki page to install, the problem is that I really don't know how to get to the interface, after installing everything and enabling the plugins in the config, I do not see anything different in PRVX2. Please help me with this. I have read and reread all the wiki instructions there is just no information on how to use this.

Thanks,

  • Did you download the 0.5 beta version since 0.49 only works with older gbpvr versions.
  • In the config app's plugin tab do the XRecord, XGuide and XSearch items appear in the plugin list.
  • Are they selected and plugins enabled overall
  • You can drag and drop these 3 to the top of the list in this tab
  • You can change the settings for 2 of the three plugins from this tab (optional)
  • Starting up pvrx2 should have three new items in the main menu
  • Save and close the config app
You can check/post the log files for errors

1. Yes, I installed version 0.5
2. Yes, they appear in the config tab and they are checked.
3. Plugins enabled overall? Hmmm, not sure, but I cannot see the youtube plugin so they are probably not enabled. How can I enable this?
4. I can see them well in the config, but I cannot see them in PVRX2...

I am off to see about those plugins.

Oh I meant the "Plugins Enabled" checkbox in the config app's plugin tab.

It worked by moving the plugins up in the order in the config page. Very Strange. I can see them now, I tried the same with the Youtube plugin but that is not working at all. Now that I have it up and running, is there a problem to continue to use both the original recordings, list, guide, and the xsuite? Also, is there a way to optimize the display for a widescreen LCD. the graphics in the original plugins look sharp but the graphics and fonts in the xSuite look very blurry.

Thanks for your help.

Glad it works. I personally disabled the build in guide/recording/search plugins but I guess you can keep both. Do any other users have experience doing this? The blue skin that comes with XSuite is 720,480 but I know Kevl has designed a very nice higher resolution skin that he discusses here. You can ask him for his skin files on that thread or send him a PM. Without it, the scaling done by gbpvr will make the XSuite default blue skin look blurry at higher resolutions.
