Just installed MovieWiz 1.0.16.0 followed by SearchWiz 1.0.14.0. Movement between SearchWiz buttons is smooth when there are no search results, but after I searched for something (even with 1 match returned), it moves slower between buttons. There isn't any stutter, just slowed animation. If I exit SearchWiz and select it again, the movement is normal speed.

Is this new behavior since the last patch I provided?

Recreate the problem and post your logs, I'll have a look.

Yes it's new behavior. Logs attached. I ran SearchWiz, cursored up/down a bit, then searched for MODEL, then cursored up/down a bit.

I assume I don't have to run that patch since you came out with new versions of MovieWiz and SearchWiz -- I just installed the new versions, thinking that any patch stuff would be part of the new releases.

The behavior of the previous problem was slow animation with a 1 second delay before the animation of movement from one button to the next. This occurred without doing a search for anything.

You are right, you do not have to apply any prior patches.

I cannot seem to recreate the problem. Navigation seems to be pretty snappy on my machine regardless of a search being done or not. Does this behavior seem to happen in any other Plugins that use the WizTools (ie MovieWiz, BurnDvdX2, SkipTool)?

Could you post your config.xml so I can verify the settings against my system?

config.xml attached. SkipTool and BurnDvdX2 both work fine. Will verify MovieWiz tomorrow, have to configure it.

I cannot seem to recreate this problem, and I don't see any problem in your config or the logs that points to anything specific.

Not sure what is going on here, so I don't have any advice at this point. I'll keep looking around, but have not found anything so far.

When the button animation is slow, I select "Clear Criteria" and the button animation goes back to normal speed. Only when there are search results is the animation slow.

When you are experiencing the slowdown, does the CPU utilization spike?

EDIT:

Some of this vaguely rang a bell, so I searched the forums and found this. You might try the MS patch, it worked for me.

Tried the patch, very slightly improved animation speed but there is still a noticeable difference when there are search results. CPU utilization is a few % higher when there are search results.
