Looking at this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=35254
I realize, I haven't really paid attention to what decoders and multiplexors I'm using. I'm not even sure how to find out or where to look. Or, if I wanted to change them, where would I go?

It just works, most of the time.

So, I went to config -> Playback tab. One of my video decoder listed is Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder. There is an icon to the right of it. I click on it and it shows some settings. So, what is this Cyberlink codec I am using?
I learned from somewhere that Cyberlink codec file name is CLVsd.ax. I searched my hard drive and found 3 files called CLVsd.ax. One in windows\system32, one in program files\powerdvd folder and one in downloads folder. Each one of them is different version at that.

So, how do I know which of these is used by gbpvr? Or is it even using any of the clvsd.ax files?

You see my dillema? Can anybody help?

Mkenyon2, I hope I didn't hijack your thread. I am assuming that you are looking for the same answers as me.

OP: The best way to check what codecs you are actually using is to playback a recording and then look in the pvrx2.exe-native.log log file.
