Help!

I had GBPVR working great with a Hauppauge 150 retail. So I decided to add a 150 mce. I have done a hcwclear.exe and a fresh install of drivers for both cards. It's not working. Both cards want the same 26xxx driver. I have the cards configured as Capture 1 and 3 (capture 2 is the s-video on the first card) with epg updated for both. When I try to run the radio on one I get an error warning the name of which I can't recall. I can't figure out how to record 2 programs at the same time.

1) Can both cards have the same driver?
2) How can I tell whether they are both set up correctly?
3) How can I program 2 recordings at the same time?
4) How can I run one card rather than another?
5) Should I see more than one tray icon if 2 recordings are underway?

As a test, I set the scheduler to record 2 programs at once. When I checked the tray icon for status, it said 1 and 2 were sleeping while the third was recording the first selected show. The third is the new mce. Sorry to pose so many questions.

Does anyone have any pointers?

1) yes
2) if you can record two programs at the same time (or record and watch live tv)
3) It should let you schedule 2 overlapping recordings, but no more (if you have two cards)
4) You cant, it selects the card automatically. It'll pick the one added first, unless its in use.
5) No, you should only see one tray icon, but if you double click the tray icon it'll say what the tuners are doing.

The cards should be setup as capture device #1 and #2. You mention #3, but you dont have three *physical* devices.

Good Morning.

You didn't waste any time. You really did come back recharged after your vacation.

If only one card has an FM tuner, will GBPVR automatically default to it? I keep getting an error message. I will try to recreate and send you a screen shot.

Thanks and don't party too hard tonight. I have a little more time to prepare in New Orleans.

Happy New Year

It now records with 2 cards. I removed capture device 3, which was really capture device 1's s-video setup. I will search for a new way to add s-video.

Thanks and happy day.

Regrettably, I cannot get the FM radio to work. When I get to the frequency setting, it locks when I hit enter to preserve the first channel.

Did you install the lame encoder which is required for the radio support? If not, you can get it from: http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip

Sorry to be dense, but how do I install this codec? I have clicked on the bat files and have right clicked each looking for an install option. I have checked the audio codecs under the hardware devices, and I do not see it installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Now to bed at 1:30 am.

Just run the bat file.

Only the PVR150MCE supports the FM radio, so you may have the device numbers backwards. In your case (1xPVR150, 1xPVR150MCE), if they're wrong they'll still capture video, but the FM radio wont work.

The video input is accessible via channel 254 and the s-video via channel 255 of the tuner
