The log snippet that you quote says "logepg true". I had fullepg = false in the xml file. Probably another red herring but I'd fret if I didn't mention it.

Ah - right you are. I've done a lot of hacking around with Now/Next and full EPG in the transition from Dvbtr.exe to the service. Along the way it seems the service is sticking with FullEPG regardless of the setting. I'll adjust the wiki to make that clear until the next version. Sorry for the red herring.
