DirecTV Control

What is the best (or simplest) way to change channels on my RCA DirectTv box.

I have Hauppauge WinTV USB2, Xcard, and RCA DRD480RE

I look into Girder, but WOW how confusing is that. Please help

The simplest way is to add a USB-UIRT to your setup.

You may be able to it with a serial cable, but that'll require Girder and some detailed knowledge of how Girder works (I cant help you there I'm afraid...).
