I recently installed MovieWiz (i am running GBPVR 1.2.13 on Vista), i am successful in adding movies to the library (i can scroll through my titles and see the metadata), but when i access the plugin from GBPVR it keeps telling me nothing has been configured and i haven't added anything (i am away from my home computer, but that is the basis of the message). I think of myself as fairly competent (although questioning that now), but i can't seem to determine what i am doing incorrectly. I have followed the information in the readme, but i keep getting the same message. I can't seem to track down any info on the forum of someone having a similar struggle.

So feel free to laugh at me, but if you have a suggestion i am happy to take the abuse!

Thanks in advance.

If you could zip and post your log files, I'll take a look.

Fire up PVRX2, select the MovieWiz plugin, then exit. Zip up the pvrx2.exe.log (found in gbpvr/logs) and post.

The log for the plugin shows that you only have 1 category defined, and no movies are attached to that category.

I don't see any errors in the log that look suspicious. If you could zip and email me the MovieWiz.db3 (database) (gbpvr/Plugins/MovieWiz/MovieWiz.db3), I'll try and recreate the problem on my machine.

Also, I don't use Vista, but I have seen posts where it seems Vista keeps 'shadow' copies of files under c:\users\<your account\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz. If you find the db under that directory structure, delete it there and try again.

It looks like the 'shadow' copy was the issue, i deleted it and everything is working. I certainly appreciate your quick responses to my problems. Looking forward to using the app!
