I'm using GBPVR in the UK with Freeview and the guide data using xmltv and the Radio Times website.

However many of the channels on Freeview no longer broadcast 24 hours a day (unlike on satellite) so the guide data often includes programmes I can't watch.

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can modify either GBPVR or the guide data from xmltv so that I can remove the guide data for channels where Freeview transmission times differ from satellite broadcasts.

You can use config|capture sources|edit then uncheck the enable box for each channel you don't want.

If you are using Alan Birtles xmltv tool to get the RadioTimes listings then I think one of the post-processors can limit listings for freeiew.
I've not played with it, so I'm not sure if or how you would differntiate between freeview and satellite though - it may well need something to fiddle with the channel name????

Quote:UK_RT_Free_Limit is a post processor which will limit the 24-hour listings of some channels to the times which they are boradcast on freeview. The script currently supports the following channels:

Sorry for the delay in replying but I wanted to get it working before replying.

I wasn't using that Alan Birtles xmltv utility so it's taken me a while to convert my setup to use it.

Once I had, it was easy to use the post processor to limit the channel data as I required.

It was exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for your help.
