Is it possible to have 2 versions of CS3 installed on my machine?

I want to set a different theme for my Popcorn Hour client, but still want the same theme to be on my PC.

Can I just set a theme and take a copy of the community3 folders from skin (or is that skin2) and rename them to CommunityPCH or something?

Thanks

Taking a copy from 'skin2' & re-naming it works fine for normal skins so I can't see why it wouldn't for CS3. If it was me I would just give it a go and see what happens....go on live dangerously Cool

Yeah, bored moment at work!
I was more wondering how the particular theme is set for CS3, ie - once I have run the skinplugin and picked what I want, those options will stick if I copy that folder, then set the original back to my preferred theme.

Thanks for your help.

From what I have read & until one of the CS gurus give you a more informed reply, it copies the changes you have made into the baseskin.xml etc. so it should go across fine if you copy & rename the directory. As it will have a different directory name what is done from then on in the proper CS3 directory won't affect it. Sorry I can't check right at the moment as I haven't re-installed CS3 to my test PC since I did a full Windows re-install recently.

I think the Skin Plugin always applies changes to \GBPVR\Skin2\Community3\ not the current active skin.

Sweet, now I can go create a nice theme.
Thanks for your input.

Just moving sideways for a second, how do I go about converting an old style skin for one plugin to one which works with PVRX2? (I assume it's a heap of work)
I want to keep using MyVideos (which works fine under X2, but the skin does not) as I prefer it to MovieWiz.

Cheers

I hadn't ported over the original Community Skin's "My Series" from gbpvr.exe to CS3 since I no longer had the installer for those plugins. It may take a while to get them converted over since I don't have much free time right now. Those plugins do require alot of work for the skinning re-write.

Yeah, thats what I thought.

Up until I installed the latest version which didn't include GBPVR, I had a custom button which changed the skin back to CS2 in the config and launched gbpvr.exe, straight into MyVideos.
