It would be nice if when starting a recording you could get an OSD giving some details on the video format. (maybe a separate 'info' button?)

> resolution, encoding, frame rate, bit rate etc.

There are so many formats that it is difficult to know what you are actually watching at any given time.

This might help with troubleshooting hardware comparisons etc.
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual)

DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3).
Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler.
Sits in rack with other HiFi.

ParaLED to show tuner activity.

I bumped CTRL-O during playback and noticed that it gives the file name and native resolution.
I didn't see this in the release notes, but I assume it's new.

That was added in 1.2.13. It also gives you some more info in live preview mode (PIDs and stream type)

I tried it (ctrl-o) LiveTV (timeshift) mode, and it did nothing but glitch the playback a little bit. Is it not supposed to work in that mode, or is there some other reason it does nothing for me?

Are you using the EVR renderer? I had the same thing happen, but AFAIK it is because EVR does not support overlays yet.

Sorry, its only live preview mode and video playback, not timehift mode.
