Same here. H.264 playback is still problematic!

For SD material at least, I have found the latest drivers fantastic - mainly because edge sharpening and denoise sliders are now exposed, and with a simple registry tweak dynamic contrast is enabled.
For the first time, I find my SD picture is as good as my old CRT. I know many videophiles hate edge sharpening, but all CRT televisions had it and it could not usually be turned off.
The really odd thing though is that by default the ATI drivers have edge sharpening turned off, and denoise set ridiculously high.
For me, the perfect setting is edge sharpening at 28%, and denoise turned off, and dynamic contrast on. Newer LCD's do dynamic contrast themselves, so no value in this setting.
As to H264 content, hardware accleration works on everything (using a supported decoder), but I have still have problems using HA in PVRX2. Cannot say if this is a problem with the drivers, decoders, or GBPVR itself...

I've installed the latest Catylast but I don't have these options. How did you get them?

The new setting are available under the video 'all settings' tab in the Catalyst Control Centre.
Some info here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1060000
They became available in 8.8 for XP.
