I am having a problem with using the server/client configurations.

If I use Streaming, all the standard definition channels work fine but trying to watch a QAM channel produces an empty black screen with no audio.

Switching to File Sharing, QAM channels work just fine. Trying to watch an SD channel shows picture and audio, but it cuts out every sec or so, like a strobe light on its slowest setting.

Any ideas?

I have reinstalled gbpvr on the client machine, but the problem persists.

Anyone have any idea on what I can try to rectify this issue?

GB-PVR's streaming is only compatible with .mpg files. Your HD files were probably .ts or .dvr-ms files.

I'm not sure what the strobe light effect you were seeing on SD with File Sharing was.

Okay so file sharing is the only method I can use. Good to know.

Are there any kind of tests I can do to see what is wrong with the transmission.

The Server computer seems to display the sd channels just fine.

Currently on Gigabit wired. I can load gbpvr on my laptop and plug it in and see if the same occurs.

Otherwise I'm lost.
