This is quite an ignorant question, so my apologies.

Could anyone point me in the right direction of where I could get information on the Markup language (if that's even the right term) used in the skin xmls? Is it specific to gbpvr, or is it an adaptation on something I could read up on?

As is pretty obvious from how I've struggled to even phrase the question Smile, I've no experience with code. I can find my way around the skin xml's (learned through trial and error) and I've read the wiki stuff, so I have a grasp of the basics. Ideally I'd like to learn about the various elements and formatting options that can be used. My limited knowledge only extends to what I've seen.

I've been meaning to ask this for ages and should have done so long ago. It's triggered by seeing "fillColor="BackwardDiagonal:#002200-#008800" in blue's baseskin, which got me thinking about whether there are more formatting elements like this that I don't know about simple because they're not used.

If that makes any sense (?) I'd appreciate a nod in the right direction.

Cheers

Its a format that evolved in gbpvr. Sorry, there isnt anything written up on it. For the most part it's pretty straight forward though, and can be easily learned by looking at a few skin files.

Cheers sub

It's good to know, it was just for my own info. I'm not sure how I missed it but I hadn't seen "BackwardDiagonal" gradient before and rather than post every time I see something new I thought I'd see if I could educate myself.

I'll add BackwardDiagonal and ForwardDiagonal to Horizontal and vertical on the gradient list, there aren't any others by any chance, a radial gradient?

I'm not sure how widely you can use those gradient. I put them in as a hack to make the TV Guide look a little better, but you might be able to use them in some other places.

Horizontal/Vertical/ForwardDiagonal/BackwardDiagonal are the only options for it.

Yeah I've been messing around with both ForwardDiagonal/BackwardDiagonal in "borderColor" to try and create a sort of bevel effect.

They were just new to me, spiked my geek interest Big Grin
