GB-PVR Massive delays/Slowdowns possible Solved

Last night I was putzing aroung in GB-PVR getting things scheduled for the night, and was getting real ticked at it hanging. So I started shutting down EVERYTHING in my tray, My KodaK software, Girder... Then for the heck of it, I put my AntiVirus into sleep mode. GB-PVR seemed MUCH better!!. I shut it down last night, and watching several recordings while west wing was recording, it worked very well. All from my MVP! I was very pleased. I will do more testing to see if that is what it was, or just a fluke.

I have Computer Associates E-Trust antivirus. If it ends up being the culprit, I will try to exclude some files/directories and see if that works, so I can keep it running.

So if anyone else has the same type of problems, what anti virus are you using.

im using norton internet security 2003 with no problems with hanging during scheduling a recording, i think mcaffee have been tested as the best for performance and security (read a download.com review, was 2003 thou, another might be better by now).
