latest watchnow + latest GBPVR = hand/crash on download?

Fire up watch it now. Previews work, browsing my queue works, browsing various lists work. Select download of a movie (any movie, this is an example) and download appears to start, display reverts to whatever was under the popup for the selected movie, and then... nada. UI seems hung until, a bit later, pvrx2 errors out

The above repeats until pvrx2 throws an error and dies.

Followup, I reverted to the previous version of GBPVR, and updated watch it now plugin there, and am getting exactly the same behavior.

Happy to do any additional debugging on my end if it will help

A couple others have reported this. I'm pretty sure that I broke something with the downloads when I added support for the Silverlight player since nothing actually downloads when using Silverlight. I haven't had a chance to look into it yet but I will be fixing it in the next day or two.

In the meantime, you can try using 1.0.2.3. The only major change from that in 1.0.2.5 is really the Silverlight player addition so you won't really lose any functionality reverting back.

Yep... going back to 1.0.2.3 fixed the same issue I was having.
I'm also on the latest gbpvr as well.

I'm kind of waiting for your next release, sounds like it's all new, but I was having this concern too. I will revert back to that version and see if it works, but some of the videos i had downloaded from previous versions wouldn't even launch in WMP, it just threw up an error and had to close... Latest WMP 11...

I'm working diligently on the next release. It's going slower than I hoped mainly due to limited development time though.

As for the videos not working, if they don't work in WMP directly, they won't work in the plugin. Netflix may be refusing to grant playback now that they are moving to Silverlight.
