Having failed previously to get my PCH A100 working via a usb drive using manual means, I've now tried again using the installer. I really want to get this working now I see WOL is a possibility.

The install seemed to go fine, but when I select GBPVR via USB I get the dreaded "request cannot be processed error". All still works fine over my network to the server - although I always have to navigate down the tree to the relevant share, even tho' I've added it as a source.

Any help much appreciated,

Pam

I Just Ran the installer and there seems to be an error on the USB Line in the HTML.

It Says:
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/usb_a.cgi">GB-PVR via USB</a>

It should be:
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_A-1/usb_a.cgi">GB-PVR via USB</a>

Also in the startmeup file, the uncommented line is mvpmcx2 with no command line options so it displays its help file and quits.
"/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &" Should be /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m ntsc &" or whatever option you need in your setup (NTSC/PAL/720 etc..)

Thanks BrainStormer this is now fixed. It was a variable that was supposed to allow a choice that I never implemented.

None from me, I don't have a problem with the share so I don't use this option.

@BrainStormer "/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &" is correct in startmeup as the default. The instructions say to set the default in the NMT program and I read the typical flash setting. Non-standard settings do need this though.

Try clearing your Browser Cache. Go to Setup->Maintenance, Hit the File Mode button on your remote and then enter to clear.

Also if you edit any of the files other than the HTML ones, they need to be in unix file mode, ie not CR+LF only LF at the end of a line. The Survival Guide has a link to an editor that supports this, But if you already edited and saved the file in MSDOS mode then you need to tell it to save it in unix mode again, or Just re-install and it will preserve what ever mode the file was in when loaded into the editor.

Hey Martin, would it be possible to add dos2unix to the nmt Installer so we only have one file that should never be edited and then the other files would just be converted every time they are ran to make it easier on the novice?

Like telnet, dos2unix isn't in the Syabas busybox. It is in the mvpmc busybox though so I can consider this later but right now this is the kind of stuff on hold. If anyone else want to compile it and test the scripts I will consider the change, but I have concerns about adding another script into an already confusing mix.

It's probably better to add the editable areas via NMTInstall and let it write out the file. PM me if you want to work on the install program, the code is trivial.
