how to get slick - metadata going?

Hey.. I love the way the screenshot looks for browsing movies in Slick. Is there some easy way to grab this XML data from somewhere? Or would I have to write it all out myself for each movie as it comes in. Is there some sort of XSLT out there that can already translate and create the required files?

Can Movie Wiz export this stuff?

okay... so I realized MovieWiz has the export option which has created XML files for each movie file, But the format of the XML does not match the XML sample that was in the 1.3.7 announcement posting. I guess this is why the metadata still does not show in the slick plugin when browsing movies....

Has someone already written an XSLT to convert the export from MovieWiz to the format expected by the SLICK skin?

Or am I way off base here?

On the utilities / wizutilities page on the wiki there is an xml generator for creating the metadata & downloading posters.

Great thanks... this has me up and runninig with metadata included... Very useful tool thank you.

However the hitrate of the filename based search was sort of poor. Even when the episode and show are included in the filename it still usually required me to format the title to fit the Series-Episode format (and still sometimes failed). But certainly saved me lots of time. I also already posted in another thread about the cover art images not being saved.


I've also noticed that the cover art that IS there is not getting refreshed in SLICK when I navigate to the next selection in the list. Is this a known issue? (i know.. should ask in SLICK forum).

There was a patch posted somewhere here for this.
