Good to see the UK embracing the free worlds best hope for a generation with all due respect .... Get them while their hot.

http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/8...P36=C4PXJK

Seen as a superhero by so many, it's only fitting that Barack Obama should have his very own action figure! Standing 6 inches tall, and with 8 points of articulation for all the presidential poses you can think of, this Barack Obama encapsulates the spirit of hope in it's chunky plastic form.

and to complete the set

Barack Obama: President Obama Bobble Head

Don;t you just love the free market sometimes...

I feel sorry for Barak because there is no possible way he can live upto the expectations of him, although he has tried to play them down I have the feeling that this hasn't been working for him. On another note though in many people eyes he can't do as bad of a job of it as Bush did.

Yeah, you could have him fight it out with the "Fake Naval Aviator Mission Accomplished" Bush "action" figure and see who wins..more like "inaction" figure.

I think he set the bar to high for himself the last few months. Then the media made things worse by not showing all sides of him (as well as other candidates) and making him look like a god. I just wish we had more than 2 choices contenders to choose from.

As a conservitive who lives in Oregon, the choice of McCain (A liberal Republican) on the Primary election was made before I even got a chance to vote (for Romney). I'm for the primaries of all States happening on the same day.

Third party system just won't work here. R's and D's are too far entrenched in our psyche (sp?). Third party will never be taken seriously. (Nader, Perot, etc.)

I couldn't agree with you more!
You aren't scared to admit you're a conservative? Big Grin My sister moved to Portland 11 years ago and both she and her husband came from conservative families and it wasn't long before she 'fit the mold'. I don't envy you as it's all about winners and losers now and not what's best for the country. Oh, they'll say it's country first but we all know it just ain't so.

It was very, very dissappointing (for democracy) that the Rep. party were actually unable to field a candidate who was below retirement age. What's that all about?

We have struggled with 3 party politics in the uk for decades. It always seems to come down to the fundamentals; whether you are blue or red (whcih are the other way around in the UK compared to the US), big gov vs small gov , collective society vs individualism etc. The 3rd party never really get a look in.

I do hope Barak can help move things forward and bring a more inclusive approach to world politics. The fact that he is able to walk on water is already a great start as that will help to reduce the White House transportation costs and carbon emissions. :-)

I must confess that I will miss the Bush speeches...

Unfortunately, all we have to offer is Gordon "Mr Charisma" Brown who is about as interesting to listen to as an avid pencil collector.

You mean he's not going to save the world and also give everyone anti-gravity boots? I was led to believe that would happen.

The hype machine kept rollin' rollin' rollin'. We got people like Oprah Winfrey crying and saying she now feels like a black person can "make it" or whatever. She knows she's been on TV forever, is one of the most popular people in America, and can buy half of the U.S. if she wanted to, right?

I knew the election was over before it started when FOX NEWS started blatantly censoring Republican Ron Paul. If nothing else, I hope that helps get people to stop automatically linking "Republican" and "conservative," because they're not the same. Most of the current well-known Republicans are much more neo-conservative. Bush is certainly not a conservative.

The only way third parties will ever have a chance is if people stop voting for "the lesser of two evils." Every vote a third party gets makes them more popular for the future, and the more votes they get also means more financial backing for the future. A third party may not win this time, but maybe next, or the time after. Who knows, might keep me from winding up living in a shack in the woods in New Zealand to not put up with it anymore.

And don't get me started on the "rappin' reverend" Obama had speak at the inauguration. So he traded in one racist reverend for another, and no one really says anything about it? Maybe Obama really can walk on water.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:
