I've also been following these posts and agree ... as plugin development starts to grow (I think it will explode), the various remotes out there are going to cause developers nothing but grief ... I have an "old" Happ and have no plan to change any time soon.  The King is right and the PC keyboard is the standard (as good as any) -- mapping should be based on that ... even if I never use the keyboard because I never watch TV on my PC using a remote (only use  MVP talking to a dedicated [headless] PVR server).
This actually begins to enables my only current wishlist item -- for GBPVR to push a Girder event *every* time a remote key is pressed - not just for Live TV.

Hi,
A minor consistency thing. When playing videos, play plays, then pause toggles pause/play. This is great. However, when playing music, pause only pauses to resume playing I have to press play.

Would be great to make this consistent as well.
