logo.png does not exist in the _CoreImages folder in any of the skins, including WS and SD skin folders.

I don't think that's the solution. Can someone verify that this file is part of the install manifest?

it's not done like that. It's a bit dynamic. A theme is applied with this file included in it. There is an install log file created, and this 1st theme will also create a skinhelper log file. Would be interesting if there logs contain a reference to this logo.png file.
