TS Mux

Hi,

Just wondering what the consensus is on the TX Mus these days? Is it the preferred option? I'm currently still using Cyberlink.

Even after trying other versions, Cyberlink pretty much always made things out of sync for me. Switched to DVR-MS and the problems went away. Except that, for the few times I do it, DVR-MS can sometimes be a pain, or merely an extra step, to turn into .mpg to re-encode.

I was one or two GBPVR versions behind until the other week. Upgraded, and figured I'd try TS again after having recent problems trying to convert some DVR-MS stuff. I haven't tried to convert any of it, but, so far, about 20 hours of TS HDTV has played in-sync.

Hmm, except I played all of those shows on a different computer on the network with a regular PC video player. I now just tried playing a couple with GBPVR on the HTPC, and the file is there but the video is black. Interesting!

In one other player, it gives me a "some streams in this file aren't compatible" or something, but it does play in VLC on that computer. VLC is self-contained, and they do play fine on a different computer, so looks like I just have a codec issue somewhere on that PC.
