I just received my A-100 this week and I've installed GBPVR (mvmpc) or whatever it's called Smile. I'm pretty much a computer bonehead, but with the dummies guide installation was extremely easy. So easy in fact, that I thought for sure I was missing something. But it just works.

Here are my observations so far:

Menu responses are fairly snappy, a little slower than if I were directly using the server, but not bad.

When watching recorded TV shows sometimes there is no timeline and I am not able to fast forward, rewind or skip. I'm assuming this has to do with the quality of the recording. What's odd is that I made three recordings of the same show (Sesame Street), same channel, same time etc. and 2 were fine, but one was bad.

When I skip forward 30 seconds the display dims momentarily and then returns to full brightness. Is this normal?

I am really looking forward to watching college football this weekend in the living room instead of the garage. Smile Hopefully the .ts files will allow me to time shift.

Thanks to all those who have put so much time and effort into developing this software. I highly recommend this setup to anyone that is considering it.

Great, I think we are seeing more positive posts lately, probably being a support forum the majority of posts are about problems.

Blue skin is fastest and remember to page libraries and the EPG and the menu speed becomes really easy to live wiht.

No I think there is an occasional problem where the resume prompt is invisible. I can't duplicate it often enough to test. Your best is to hit OK in this scenario to see if it resumes for you.

Yes gbpvr dims the screen on navigation and on pause.

You weren't enjoying your personal tailgate party?

Good to hear, I do think when the A100's are gone and the cheap EGreats production is stopped (I noticed another vendor dropped their low end model yesterday) some GBPVR users are going to be disappointed that they waited.

Martin,

Thanks again for your support of this initiative.

What do you mean by "page libraries and EPG"?

The chairs are more comfortable and the screen much larger in the living room. Big Grin

I mention this because the PCH remote Page Up/Down don't work. With mvpmcx2 you use Prev/Next except on the EPG where it is green and blue. Here are some other keys http://www.mvpmc.org/~mvallevand/nmtkeys.html
