Is anybody using a 2 way remote for music-playing?

I think some of the 2-way remotes are very nice, and it's cool not to have to turn on the tv for playing music.

Are any of you using them(pda software, or hardware ones)?

I don't, but I kind of do - not using GBPVR, but using itunes + remote which allows me to connect to my library & browse it as if all the music was on my ipod touch.
(I have itunes on all of my PCs in the house, all pointing to one library on a linux fileserver, so if I add music from any of the PC's - it's copied to the server and available on all PCs)

I figure you could use some web based thing to open itunes, so no tv on. (or just a shortcut on a remote)
Not exactly what you wanted, but acheives the same thing.

In the same software-type, you can use SailingClicker with itunes & WMP.
Sailing clicker runs on java mobile phones, plus WinMo / symbian - not sure about android though.

It's a remote-unit that can control the media center software without one should turn on the television.
They usually work through wifi rather than having to stand in front of the TV to select music.

It is good for partys so that people can just put music in a queue via remote.

It would be really cool if someone made something similar to gbpvr(eg. for windows mobile or ipod touch).
Maybe it could be an addition to jukebox2 plugin.
It requires a little serverpart which must bee placed at the gbpvr machine.
