Live TV OK but recordings have no sound!

Hi

Ive just installed the intervideo Mux (ivivideo(4.0.11.30).ax) to get a picture (already had sound) within Live TV.

However any recordings I make play the picture OK but no sound!

So you're not using the TS Mux?

What capture source are you coming from DVB-S or DVB-T?

If "S" you might need to look at AC3Filter and intervideo for hauppauge/technotrend audio codecs.

If "T" you'll need Monogram audio codec and probably AC3Filter as well.

Also your logs suggest DVR-MS mux. Any reason? Over here you shouldn't need it, you should be fine with TS Mux.

i forgot to say im using .... analogue. PVR-150 card.

Ive set the Mux back to TS mux (made no difference - should it for analogue?)

For analogue the mux isn't used as it uses the built in hardware encoder on the card to encode the signal.

The problem you are having is most likely codec related, did you try the MPV & MPA codecs linked on the wiki page I gave you the other day? They work very well for me, also I am sure sub would suggest setting your audio renderer back to 'system default' though.

No I actually mean codecs. On the install disk with the drivers and Win TV there's a video decoder as well for the MPEG2 stream. Actually now that I think about it, it is just a video codec and not an audio one.
