Upgraded to Win 7 and foolishly tried to keep GBPVR settings from XP. I exported the recordings (with several pending recordings) and also saved the database file. After installing the same version of GBPVR (1.3.11) in Win 7 and copy back the database file, I had pending recordings that were in the past and could not be cancelled. So I copied empty.db3 to gbpvr.db3 and set up the capture sources, EPG, etc and imported the recordings. I still have pending recordings that are in the past, and it appears to affect future recordings as well. Suggestions?

I have SQL spy and browser, but don't know SQL.

installed gbpvr in \program files\? then it's probably keeping a temp copy of database around...
search the c drive for extra copies of gbpvr.db3..

i use sqlite expert pro[personal edition] and it's easy to just delete the entry for those orphaned recordings from recording_schedule table visually like in excel..no sql knowledge needed..

at least i think that's whats going on for you, seems only way a past scheduled recording could still be there...
[maybe check the recording-dump.xml for errors? or the offending entries, may be re-importing them everytime..]

pBS: good point on the potential for multiple copies of the database. This Win7 Virtual Store thing is driving me crazy. I did set the permissions for GBPVR and below folders to full for all users, but I may have done something before I learned about this. I'll take a look.

Can anyone confirm that pending recordings are included in the recording export? (I guess I could look at the file!) Seems like I should have done more research on this before forging ahead. There have been some recent discussions of problems like this.

I deleted the gbpvr.db3 file in the Virtual Store and things seem to be OK now. I was able to cancel the past recordings (or they disappeared by themselves, can't remember). Anyway, all seems well now.
