Just curious, before I do the move (win 7 RC 1 is about to expire...), all settings are stored locally in the same folder that gb-pvr was installed in correct?

There aren't any registry keys or some other hidden stuff I have to worry about, right?

yea, for most part it's all in the same dir...there are a couple registry entries, but they get recreated when you install....
i normally just make a copy of gbpvr dir, then place it on new machine in proper spot, and install over that to upgrade and import old settings..makes it just like a regular upgrade..

or you could install to new location, then copy old data to same spot, overwriting fresh install....

run install on new machine at least once to setup rec service and install location..

This is what I have done when doing a fresh windows install, or when trouble shooting with a fresh gbpvr install. Works like cake, the only other thing you need to be aware of to the OP, is on a new computer/fresh windows install, if you are using a remote, you will want to make sure to save those files as they are in the windows directory (at least when using the hauppauge remote. Copying the irremote.ini (pretty sure thats the correct file name), will allow you to install the remote software on the new install then just overwrite the ini file to maintain any specialized settings you have. Then again if you were just using default remote setup you won't need to worry about that. If you have tweaked it at all you will want to backup the remote file as well.
