I've been playing with Air Video to stream video over WiFi to my ipod touch recently. I imagine is probably similar to what Hauppauge is going to offer. Air Video uses ffmpeg to convert if needed. It accepts a wide variety of input including mkv files. The app is $2.99 with free server.

wondering if it can be used alongside gbpvr? it looks to be only for livetv, not recordings..will definitely have to check it out tho.... oops, i do see recordings in one of the screens..cool
