UK DVB-T. Devices default to DVB EPG. Good choice.

I can change DVB EPG to XMLTV and XMLTV to None. I cannot change XMLTV or None to DVB EPG.

I have tried the changes after pressing the Details button and after pressing the Bulk button.

Plus how can I change all channels from DVB EPG to XMLTV with "one click" ?

I just found that I can hold down the Ctrl key and select channels with the mouse and then press the Delete button to be rid of the selected channels. Bye bye shopping channels. This is also good.

This is a known limitation. You cant currently switch to DVB EPG. It needs a lot more info to do this. I'm intending to find a place in the database to store the original DVB EPG tuning information so that it can be restored if the user later switches from xmltv/none back to dvb epg.

It cant do this automatically for you, because it doesnt know what the mappings would be. It might be able to guess some by the name being the same, but its very common for names to not be the same in the XML and DVB stream.

Thank you ... I mentioned the change to DVB EPG not working cos I thought it might be a bug .. I see that it ain't and I suspect that it is not a priority for anyone (least of all me).

I understand the problem with the "bulk" change to XMLTV of all channels ... GBPVR did a good job of mapping scan channels to XMLTV channels where the names matched and it would be good to get that back.

In my minds eye, I can see me holding the CTRL key and selecting channels with the mouse and then clicking the Details button, selecting XMLTV and an XML file as input and clicking OK. The selected channels would update and fill in "best guess" mappings in a GBPVR kinda way.

I predict much huffing and puffing from satellite users with squillions of channels if they have to manually map every channel.

P.S. For the avoidance of doubt ... NPVR tuning and all that is brill.
