ShiningDragon Wrote:Hi! The idea itself isn't bad at all, but i am an analog user, so there's no success with this software. And more... i love subs work and i will never switch to another solution, i will try to make it with his software, somehow. ^.^

Digital TV... nah, never again. I tried DVB-C at 2005 and was very disappointed. Sometimes standing pictures, noisy pictures with artefacts (dataloss while broadcasting). This with a standalone DVB-C decoder from the provider. No, i am not a fan of digital tv: in the future additional payments, digital rights management and more. Should analog tv someday disabled in germany, i will give up tv und use nPVR just as mediacenter for my dvd collection. *buck*

Just to clear up what seems to be a misunderstanding, DVBLink is not a standalone system like NPVR. It is a background service that allows you to share tuners, on one or more computers.
I'm sorry to hear you had no luck with DVB-C TV, but I'm sure it works fine in Germany too now a days. The sympthoms you describe is typical for a weak signal, which can have many causes. That said the quality if digital tv is absolutly superb conpared to analog, and once you'v seen it you don't want to go back to analog.

PD: I'v bought all my digital tuners from a german company and work just fine Smile

The main page at http://gpvr.com should be updated with the latest release. I've been checking for a few months on the main page for a new release and it just shows 1.4.7. I just noticed now that things have changed a lot.

I'm sure it will be updated once NextPVR is out of beta. 1.4.7 is the "stable" release.

Hi again.

Just to start some whining:

Is there an expected date for server/client functionality?

Btw:
NPVR is the only software supporting my Terratec DVB-C HD PCI.

sub Wrote:Hmm, odd. I just tried here, including a few different country options (including Australia), and it seems to remember the selection when I hit 'ok' and then go back into the screen.

Can you try selecting 'New Zealand / Wellington (Mt KauKau)' and see if it remembers it correctly?

Apologies for the delay in replying to this.
Yes I can select 'New Zealand / Wellington (Mt KauKau)' and it remembers it correctly.
I can select 'Australia / Melbourne_dandenong' and it remembers it correctly.
But try and change that Melbourne_dandenong to Perth and next time I open the Device Setup it has reverted to "Sweden / Alla frekvenser".
It's not just Perth either, I selected "Australia / Sydney" and next time I opened it had changed to "All Countries / All Regions".
Will this impact the operation of NPVR in any significant way for me?

It wont make any difference at all. These settings arent used in normal operations (recording, watching tv etc). These only help narrow down the list of frequencies scanned at initial setup, after that the frequencies from initial scan are used.

Is the Canal Digital Norway list complete?

I can find 124 channels.

Viasat 4 is missing
Discovery Channel HD is missing.

There might be some others too.
