UltraXMLTV - Errors with _SeriesIDs.txt file

Today when I ran UltraXMLTV I'm getting error.

I'm getting a message that indicates a process is using the _SeriesIDs.txt file. When I click OK and then click GO to manually run the process I get an error indicating that the argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.

When I open the _SeriesIDs.txt file it contains incorrect data. It is a XML file that when I load into an editor it tells me the domain registration expired Aug. 9, 2010.

I have deleted _SeriesIDs.txt file and re-downloaded the file and I have also deleted my installation of UltraXMLTV and reinstalled. But this has not corrected the problem.

Any suggestions on how to correct the problem? Or is it really a problem with the domain registration expiring?

It appears the Domain Name registration for EPGTOOLS.COM expired Aug. 9, 2010.

I'm guessing until this registration is renewed or UltraXMLTV is updated this problem will not be resolved.

whurlston has re-registered the epgtools.com domain. This fixed the problem.

I needed to delete _SeriesIDs.txt and I deleted TempSeriesID.txt just to play it safe. And re-ran UltraXMLTV.

UltraXMLTV is now working and is back to being a solid app!

I'm glad that it all worked out without me being involved. I'm happy the program is working well, well beyond the days when I was programming it and using it.

As you could tell, I'm not really in this world anymore. I still use GB-PVR, though my feeble attempts to use NPVR proved too much of a change for me, so I'm still with 1.4.7...

Using the series.txt files was a huge workaround for a time when thetvdb.com was unstable. Perhaps I should run out one more version of Ultra that would not require thetvdb.com or epgtools to be running stable, in order for Ultra to complete.

But that would mean me looking at code that I hadn't loked at in almost a year... and that means other bugs might be introduced...

On a different note... I do have a Windows 7 64 bit system now, and so I would be able to work on a bit more compatibility with 64 bit windows. (proper paths and such)

NPVR compatibility will only come when I start using it. And my stomach and heart aren't in a postion to be as involved as deeply in it's development...

We'll see what the new TV season brings for me... If things start breaking for me, I might have to fix them...
