It should auto update epg each night, and when you watch tv or record.

You can also manually trigger it by hitting the 'update epg' button.

Just a comment regarding auto-epgupdate. I use xmltv, and the auto update works on the computer that has the xmltv file, but not on the other one that connects via local network. So I'v turned off the auto update and run a small batch every night that just starts NextPVR with the updateepgonly switch. That works well.

Are you using an xmltv file on mapped drive? Remember the recording service runs as a different user account so wont see any of your mapped drives.

Ah, that's why it doesn't work. Well, it works the way I'm doing it now so I'm happy with that. Smile

Ok. Can't seem to find where i can setup these things about update EPG. Will it eg. wake the machine?

Edit: When the epg-souce is DVB, can i then control how many days i will receiver data for? In XMLTV i can eg. set it to 7 days.....

Yes it should auto wake the machine. The time of the EPG Update is on the General tab.

You cant - it'll load whatever number of days the broadcaster transmits. ie, if your broadcaster transmits 8 days of listings, then you'll get 8 days of listings. If your broadcaster only transmits the current show and the next show's listings, then you'll only get those two shows of listings.

Ok, Sub

Thank you so much for all your help! I'll then take the XMLTV with me to my NPVR-setup...
