sub, I hope all is well with you in Wellington. Reading the news in Christchurch it's reported it was felt in your town as well. Hopefully, it's not bad.
I've not been able to contact friends in Christchurch as some power is out but it appears there was damage to bridges and property.

I was awake at the time and felt it. Seemed pretty big to me. It'll be interesting to see the news later today to see what damage was caused.

Glad you're fine. They now say it's a 7.0 and not 7.4 which does make a difference in quake lingo.
Seems like an awful number of large quakes around the world in the last 8 months!

Looks like a fair bit of damage on the BBC news, but fortunately no reported casualties as yet.
