Sorry, don't understand what E/7/2 means. But do you think my settings are wrong?

In acamd monitor I now get on channel change (same card, encrypted channels):
#NEXT#

This is almost 2s. There's also some time from pressing a key for a channel change and the start of acamd (2s?) and even more after it before I get video (3s?). That explains the total.

If someone has much faster times I would like to hear so, but I would be surprised.

Are you able to see any flashing on the cardreader itself while newcs is reading from it? Is there anything abnormal in newcs's log?

For me, changing channels between unencrypted DVB-C channels takes about 2 seconds. Between encrypted channels is typically about 4 seconds, but occasionally it'll take a second or so more. 4 seconds doesnt bother me too much, since thats how long my cable companies supplied box takes to change channels.

The picture wont decrypt until after you've received both the Even and Odd keys from acamd.

I don't think so (about the flashes), but am unable to acces it and check right now. Nothing abnormal in newcs log.
I have got this reader: http://www.soundsandvisions.nl/Webwinkel...-plus.html

2seconds after keypress, 2s for acamd, 2,5s before getting picture (after receiving both even and odd keys). It all adds up.

Yep. Both yankse and wincsc were little faster than acamd for me, but they had other problems (no EMMs to keep card alive, and didnt like a couple of channels).

For the record, my HVR-930C + WinTV-CI changes between encrypted channels in about 2 seconds.

I guess I have an answer to that now:

Regarding softcam Reddwarf already said:
Reddwarf Wrote:Two seconds is between unencrypted channels. The time depends wether npvr has to switch capture source, if so it can take 10-11 seconds to change channel, on the same capture source and encrypted channels it varies from 4 to 6-7 seconds.
I guess that's the situation. If someone with softcam has much faster times, it would still like to hear so.
