UiElement class

In the UiElement class there is a flag 'public bool forceRefresh'. Do I need to set it when I update the Bitmap image in my own class which inherits from UiElement?

Yes. Most plugins use the higher level controls like UiStatic that do this automatically for you though.

You wouldnt typically inherit from UiElement. Controls would typically instead be a separate class that returns a list of UiElements from it's GetRenderList() method.
