A couple of problems with the latest 1.5.33 beta release ... Both have been reported previously, but they seem still unfixed.
1. When playing back a recording of a TV program that has had its commercials (advertisements) removed using comskip, if you move the mouse pointer, you get a timeline displayed near the top of the screen, with gaps showing where the commercials have been removed. In GB-PVR you could click anywhere on the timeline to have the recorded program begin playing at that point. With NPVR, clicking on the timeline doesn't seem to affect where the recording is playing; instead it just continues along from start to finish. This is a major Wife Acceptance Factor issue for me.
2. When displaying the Electronic Program Guide, if you scroll (using the right-arrow key) beyond the end of any text, off into the blank area, then try to scroll back to the normal part of the EPG, it doesn't seem to recover properly. I can usually use the left-arrow key (or Ctrl-left-arrow) to get back to the part of the EPG where there are program listings, then use the right-arrow key and the listings will reappear, but I don't think the functionality is working as it is intended. This one is a minor, low priority annoyance.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64, in case the operating system makes a difference.
In any case, it's great to see how far NPVR has come. Given the size of the rewrite, it's in good shape for the functions I use.
