Avi on MVP

Just wondered if anyone could help me out with a little problem I'm having, as I'm fairly new to PVR and the MVP.

I have managed to install the MVP with no problems and running Hauppauge current software for it can play my movies on it, so far can play mpg, avi, divx, xvid.

However, I much prefer the GB-PVR but as yet cant get any avi to play, only mpg, Am I missing something??

You're not really missing anything. GB-PVR doesn't play AVI's (MPEG4, DivX, xVid, etc) yet. The Xrecord plug-in group seems to be working on it, though.
