is anybody else seeing CBS last few nights being dead? right about midnight it dies...
it's like they don't want me to see the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson...
[tonight it died exactly as the program was starting..]

i double checked and it was same on both my ant. atsc and directv dish...and even checked with antenna straight to tv...black screen no signal..
i had 2 recordings fail...or rather they just stopped recording as the signal disappeared..
no notices of testing or emergency broadcast anything either...

just wondering if other people/cities had same experience with that channel..
[ch 11 here locally]

CBS is ok here, though it's still Letterman right now. Probably just your local broadcaster messing with something. I've had the exact same thing happen in the past; every night for a few days the same channel would just go dark sometime during the night.

but it was dead on directv also...second night it's happened..
from atsc it started to record...then went dead about 3 minutes in...so i checked on my directv box and same thing..black screen..
i guess they get their feed from local..
here the Late Late Show is from 12:07-1:07...it blacked out the whole hour too..
first time it stopped at 12:10 and this time right at 12:07 on the dot...
the signal completely disappeared from atsc...

oh well, maybe it was just equip. upgrades or something..

I'm on DirectTV and they recently moved some channels around. 380's became 390's, I think. CBS was one of them.
But there was a message on the screen notifying me (I'm sure there were commercials as well, but all I can say is thanks comskip!).
Mine was all the time though, not just at specific times.

edit- also, the message telling me where the station moved to stayed on screen only for a few seconds. Then black

yea, i'm thinkin it was equip problems or upgrades...
just wish they'd do whatever it is after the day's programming was over..[like 3am, not midnight]
all my locals on Directv are on original ch numbers..so that hasn't changed here..plus the recording showed no messages before the blackout...

shoot, i dropped Dish cuz they would 'forget' to show certain shows...plus they were too cheap to pay for the channels like everyone else..
we'll see what happens tonight..

If it is both then they are probably doing equipment upgrades at the station. Local stations here would bail @ midnight when they were doing upgrades. Be off most of the night and back on just in time for the morning news stuff. I remember this from all the dtv upgrade stuff. Not too long ago our CBS affiliate here had a major equipment upgrade that they did that again. Antenna, Direct, and 2 cable providers were all off overnight that I know of during that time. I would venture to guess the rest of the providers in the area were off too.
